Six Fantastic Juices for you to try.

Six of the best Juices which will replenish fluids and fill you full of nutrients! If you’ve got a juicer then that’s great, if not use a blender or liquidiser instead.

Blueberry and Pomegranate
100g blueberries
150g Red Grapes
3 Stalks of Celery
100g Pomegranate Seeds

These berries contain flavanoids and polyphenols that can help to reduce oxidative damage caused by exercise and they can help to keep cholesterol down.

Beetroot & Ginger
2 Cooked Beetroots
2 Pears
2 cm piece Fresh Ginger
1 Cucumber

Beetroot contains nitric oxide which helps to oxygenate the bloods whilst the ginger in this juice will help to reduce inflammation and settle an unhappy tummy.

Watermelon and Cherry
300G Watermelon
140g pitted Cherries
1 medium Orange

Huge amounts of Vitamin C is present on all these fruits which will support your immune system and helps your body to absorb iron. If you’ve overdone it in your exercise and are a bit sore then the anthocyanin antioxidants in the cherries and amino acids in the watermelon will really help to reduce the soreness.

Cucumber and Coconut
Half a Cucumber
1 Green Apple
150g Honeydew Melon
2 mint leaves
250ml Coconut water (unsweetened)
Dash of Turmeric

Coconut is high in Potassium and the water rich cucumber is great for hydration and Turmeric helps to reduce inflammation. Sounds odd this one but it tastes great!

Carrot and Green Tea
1 Large carrot
1 Green Apple
125g Baby Spinach
125g Kale
100g Strawberries
250ml cold Green Tea
2cm Ginger root

Green Tea has been proven to help with fat loss and this juice is packed full of vitamins and minerals. You can replace the strawberries with other berries such as raspberries, blackberries etc.

Swiss Chard & Spinach
6 Swiss chard leaves
½ bulb Fennel
1 Cucumber
2 Handfuls Spinach
2 Stalks of Celery
1 Green Apple
1 bunch basil

Swiss Chard contains Vitamin K, ( not one that we talk about often ) it helps to promote strong bones and Green Apples have been found to help with acid reflux. So a soothing juice this one.

All these recipes make enough for 2 juices so you can make one for a friend or put it in the fridge for later on!
