Why am I sharing my story?

It’s because I’m hoping my story will remind you that change is always possible, no matter what circumstances you are in. Your inner fiery strength to lead the life you truly want is there.

I didn’t always believe this but now I know it’s true. I’m the living proof.

I’ve been on a long journey to get here but I wouldn’t change a thing because it has given me the ability to relate to people who are struggling and gain the knowledge to support them. 

Before I became a life coach, I worked in the corporate world. I was a high-flying sales executive with a great job, great house and what looked like a great marriage! But I was desperately miserable, everything felt ‘wrong’. I was trapped in a career that I felt I didn’t deserve and was suffocating me, I felt uncomfortable in my own skin and stuck in an unhappy marriage with two very small children. I was lost.

When I got offered redundancy, I grabbed the opportunity to make something change! 

I’ve always had a passion for fitness since I was a teenager, so I retook my Personal Training exams and set up Fit For Moore.

However, it was the course in Craniosacral Therapy that really sparked my interest and got me thinking about ways of helping people holistically with their health, not just fitness. 

Meanwhile, my personal life was a mess as was my marriage. Feeling at rock bottom and hitting 40! I signed up to the London Marathon and began to realise I was stronger than I thought. The experience helped me gain some confidence but didn’t resolve my feelings of not being good enough or of being a failure.  My marriage ended and this led me to start a course of counselling. 

With my self-belief slowly starting to return, I looked for other opportunities to build my confidence and decided to join Toastmasters (who help with public speaking). Overcoming my fear of public speaking was a real turning point for me. It made me feel really empowered and finally convinced me that it was alright to be me! If I could conquer my greatest fear, what else could I do? 

I took the opportunity to speak at an event and to share my story,  it was one of the most frightening things I have ever done but also the best thing I ever did.  Sharing my vulnerability with others was life changing for me and also (amazingly ) for many in the audience. It opened my eyes to helping people further with their own fears, worries and anxieties.  It wasn’t any more just about health and nutrition, it was about life!

It’s that experience that has propelled me into helping others change their lives through coaching. If I can do it, so can anyone. 

It’s no exaggeration to say that my life has changed massively for the better.

I’ve taken a Life Coaching Certificate and studied NLP. I am constantly learning, reading and studying to learn more about our health, psychology and what makes us all tick.

But I don’t think I’m perfect, far from it! I’m still a work in progress just like you are and   

having been on my journey I understand many of the fears that my clients feel at the early stages of their journey. It means I can say with total confidence that there is a way through for them. There is nothing I love more than helping someone find balance, control and fulfilment in their lives.
